1915 Halifax Parish Cup Winners
Mytholmroyd won this low-scoring wartime final by five wickets - their first ever Parish Cup triumph. The game was played at Thrum Hall - home of Halifax CC - and Mr H.Hustwick, mentioned in the report of the presentation, was a stalwart at Illingworth St. Mary's CC as well as serving as Parish Cup secretary. It is interesting that more space is devoted to the presentation and the social evening than to the game itself! Defeated Stainland had previously won the trophy in 1901 and 1908, and would win it again in 1922.
